Flyers Fan Frenzy ‘Under the Stars’

Ready to get your orange and black on? The Philadelphia Flyers Community Caravan is rolling into State Street tonight from 6-8 PM for a Dining Under the Stars takeover. Expect awesome Flyers swag, games galore, and the chance to meet legendary alums like Bob Kelly, Brian Propp, Chris Therien, Riley Cote, Orest Kindrachuk, and Terry Carkner. Plus, Gritty and the Ice Team will be there for epic photo ops. With perfect weather in the forecast, it’s the ideal night for Flyers fans to unite under the stars.

Blue Route Hack: Drive The Shoulder…Coming Soon

Stuck in traffic on the Blue Route and dreaming of a third lane? Well, dream no more. Starting in 2026, PennDOT is rolling out some, uh, creative solutions ($) to ease the gridlock, including the chance to drive on the shoulder. Yes, really.

While the highway expansion we all dream of isn’t happening, the plan is to let you cruise the shoulder when congestion gets unbearable. So, in a few years, when you’re crawling along the Blue Route, just remember: the shoulder might just be your new fast lane!

Crozer’s Tough Cuts Continue with Operating Room Shutdown

Remember last week when we told you about Crozer Health's potential acquisition and nonprofit status restoration? Well, here's an update you didn’t ask for but definitely need: Taylor Hospital is set to close its operating rooms by September 1st.

This move comes as Crozer’s new parent company, CHA Partners, gets ready to take the reins and transition Crozer back to non-profit status. With two other hospitals practically closed and staff cuts ongoing, it’s clear the transition isn’t exactly smooth sailing. Looks like the road to recovery might be bumpier than we hoped.

Delco Grads, Meet a Top Employer: SAP

On Monday, we highlighted how college tuition costs are on the rise, with Delco schools (Swarthmore and Haverford College) approaching six-figure tuitions.

Even though you might need a second mortgage to pay for college, there’s some good news for local grads: Newtown Square’s SAP made Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers for New Grads 2024. Ranking at No. 383, SAP is offering young professionals a solid launchpad—something to consider when those six-figure tuition bills come rolling in.

With Gen Z’s focus on work-life balance and meaningful careers, companies like SAP are stepping up. So, at least there’s a silver lining to that pricey diploma!

Vote For the 6th ‘Tour De Delco’ Destination

Sportsradio 94WIP has launched their "Tour de Delco" broadcast tour, highlighting great Delco destinations. On Tuesday, they kicked off the tour at Dolan’s Bar. Today @ 2 PM, Ike Reese and Spike Eskin will be broadcasting live from Tavola in Springfield.

With 5 locations now selected, they are allowing you to vote on the 6th and final location.
