Pumpkin Spice Too Soon? Delco Has Spoken 🎃

Last weekend, Wawa dropped its Pumpkin Spice coffee, sparking a full-blown debate across Delco. Is it too early for this divisive drink?

In Monday’s edition of the newsletter, we decided to settle it with an official Delco poll, and the results are in:

73% of you say it’s way too soon to be sipping on pumpkin anything.

So, for now, we’ll keep our coffee close and our pumpkins at a respectable distance—until at least September.

Main Line Murders Get the Netflix Treatment 🎬

A chilling piece of local history is heading to Netflix. Andrew Sodroski, known for his true crime work, is developing a limited series on the infamous 1979 Main Line Murders, where the body of Susan Reinert was found, and her children went missing. With Aggregate Films producing, this series will dive deep into the brutal crime that rocked the Main Line and exposed flaws in the justice system. Expect a gripping tale that brings one of the areas darkest stories to the screen.

Clifton Heights Cashes In: Awarded $1.3M in Funding 💸

Clifton Heights Borough just scored a $1.3 million Multimodal Grant from PennDOT for infrastructure and safety upgrades along the Springfield corridor. This latest funding brings the total to $3 million for the project, which aims to improve traffic flow, stormwater management, and pedestrian safety—especially around the new Clifton Heights Middle School. With state investments like these, Clifton Heights is set to become safer and more resilient for residents and visitors alike.

‘Delco: The Movie’ Wraps Filming 🎬 After multiple weather delays, ‘Delco: The Movie’ finally finished shooting. Look out for the film’s release later this year!

Delco Launches Memory Lane Gallery 📷 In celebration of National Senior Citizens Day today, Delaware County is launching the Memory Lane Gallery Project. Seniors are invited to share photos and memories at an in-person event from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. at the Redwood Community Center in Upland Park.

Council Rock Newtown Eliminated ⚾

The journey ends for Council Rock Newtown in the Little League World Series after a 3-1 loss to Hawaii in the elimination round. Despite the defeat, the Bucks County community rallied behind the team, packing local spots like the Green Parrot to show their support. Congrats to the players, families, and coaches for an amazing run!
